Go Dutch on Big Brother

publication date: Jun 1, 2007
Download Print
Hi,

Another exciting week of Big Brother, and this
year's instalment has had me salivating like a
wannabe wag at a Manchester Nightclub frequented
by footballers. Those twins - my God - if Mary
Whitehouse could read my mind she's be sending
me to the eternal fires of damnation.

Again, early stages and there is no standout like
Pete at all, which makes dutching a number of
contestants (the higher priced, and the any unnamed
market) could be fruitful. The market is incomplete
at present but do consider a dutch if you want a play
and leave the current market leaders out. But this
evening I think I'll be tuning in to the Samba Boys
as they take on Eng-er-land at Wem-ber-ley.

Yes, the Samba boys are in town to show Phil
"Chuckle Brother" Neville et al how to play football
this evening in the ,ahem, must win crunch friendly
match at Wem-ber-ley. Sponsored by a big nappy
firm, Brazil, with the likes of Kaka, and goal
keeper, Doodoo, should be a joy to watch - although
their last friendly I watched, they ground out a 1-0
victory against Ghana. I expect a tight affair this
evening for MalcolmMcClaren's men.

I may break the age old rule of betting in
international friendlies and try to nick a couple of
quid in the under 2.5 goals market early on. A lot
will depend on team news and I may just sit this
match out, although I expect the 3 Lions to struggle
again, so an unpatriotic lay in the match odds
market or a lay of England/England
halftime/fulltime could be the call (as you can
probably tell from this, I am desperate for more
football trading!)

With footballer's wages set to reach the £200K
mark per week, Wembley have had to widen the
doors to compensate for the footballers' wallets.
Sign of the times I guess!

TESTERS

Many thanks to all testers who have replied to last
week's eletter. I am working through them slowly
but surely and would ask any other potential testers
to include their preferences in any email they sent
eg laying/backing/trading/financials. That would
help me out greatly.

SYSTEM SHOP

I did a recent system shop this week, predominantly
buying systems certain readers wanted
investigating, and was saddened again to see, in one
ebook, a complete copy of a system I bought many
years ago with the exact wording ( from Steve
Davidson in Australia) - under the name of
FrankyFranks (made up name) the system has an
element of vagueness to it, no examples at all, BUT
an interesting staking plan. I will try it out, and any
testers amongst you who want to try it out, get in
touch.

With an eye on American sportsbooks (in this
internet age, it's a bit narrow minded to focus
purely on the UK) I purchased Goldensystems by
FrankBelanger. Not so much systems as money
managemet and mathematical ideas to profit and
gain an edge over the bookies. Yes, its that time
again when I dust off my little black book and get
in touch with showbiz pal CarolVorderman to help
me out. It's a very involved book, but I am keen to
see if I can use it on US sports. I really need to get
their terminology sussed out, and figure out money
lines et al, but if I can find a system based on prices
rather than form, then it will, I'm sure, be worth it.

I bought the staking calculator from
by the idea of profiting through successful money
management and must say am very unimpressed by
the layout of the staking calculator. I know this is
cosmetic, and the real worth will be seen with the
actual working of the staking plan. I'll keep you
informed. If you have any results that you have
kept, let me know and we can put them through this
particular staking plan - you never know, it might
turn a better profit.

Of course, with these staking plans, the selection
strategy is missing and will have to be filled in by
you yourself.

I've been trying to work on a one a day strategy to
help you - my latest idea is to list the shortest
priced horses in the LIVE market nearest to evens
for the day - it's an idea - as is making a note of
those with the biggest price gaps - I will be utilising
my friend's mathematical staking plan which
assigns a 1-2 or 3 point staking based on
confidence. I will, as ever, keep you informed. If
you have any ideas, please share them with me.
I'm afraid I haven't been tempted in by the Colin
Davey Method (it comes with a free moustache so
you can look like Colin). I might buy it and send it
to someone I dislike though.

WALK THE DINOSAUR

I must say I've been very pleased with the
Patriarch's Dinosaur lay system. It has produced
some very favourable results which have put the
bought ebooks to shame. I urge you to reread and
put into action (perhaps papertrading initially to
gain an element of confidence in it) but for a freeby
- it ain't half bad!

BETATESTERS

With a decent one a day reader lay system I will
need some betatesters to try it out and, most
importantly, provide feedback. I have been very
pleased with a 100% strike rate - well you can't
really grumble can you, so get involved, but do
papertrade initially.

One reader has devised a blackjack strategy online,
so please get in touch if you specifically want to test
this out. You may be able to provide some excellent
feedback or confirmation that's he's on the right
track. He has profited consistently, albeit in demo
mode, so to replicate this in the live real money
environment will be very exciting.

IN RUNNING BONANZA?

I have procured the use of a Sky TV occasionally so
will try out Raj Patel's Racing Cash Machine to see
if there is any substance to it. I will be starting on
very small stakes and hope to be able to put the
system to profitable use and report back. This is not
an every day occurrence, mores the pity.

If you have Sky and an ability to follow the live
racing and would like to test this out and compare
note, please get in touch at the usual email address
whatreallywins@yahoo.co.uk.

Again, I must apologise to everyone awaiting email
replies or acknowledgements - there are only so
many hours in the day, and , hey, I have to play
skipping with the 4 year old neice or she'll throw a
tantrum !

OMNITRADER

I will now systematically be using omnitrader daily
in roder to see if I can let the software do the work.
I have procured a data feed and have the software
up and running. It is essentially technical analysis
software and will do everything for you (bar making
a cappuchino and giving you a shoulder massage) .
As I have mentioned previously, I have 2 special
systems which I have programmed in which are,
apparently the Kaka's doodoo's so will keep you
informed of my progress in this area.

THANK GOD FOR THE MONEY VAULT

One good thing came from last weekend's Money
Vault...While dutifully buying my Sun, I caught
sight of KellyBrook bikini clad on a Miami Beach
- I must say that were it not for the Money Vault, I
would have never gazed on a sight of such
wondrous beauty (calm down Clive - The Ed). I am
eternally grateful to the Money Vault for that
opportunity, despite its less than spectacular results
that weekend.

Well, have a great weekend in this Derby weekend
(sponsored by Vodafone - new phone please!) and
enjoy the game this evening. I will be trying to
update the backing blog daily although find this
very difficult on a daily basis - pity because I got a
28/1 placed horse yesterday and a 7/1 and 16
winner the days before that. I will try my best.

I'm off for more skipping with the niece!

Bye,

Clive
