Celestial Gold pulled up - I was right to be wary as Super Nick won - so despite the horse being the shortest priced betting forecast fav of the day, I was able to put a ? over it as backing material. This leads me to think, as hinted yesterday, that we could dutch races involving these shortest priced horses if there is a near market rival?

What happened with Crocodile Rock - should have won, stumbled at the last.  McCoy put it down to the ground  which was a niggle for me.

Good in running trade on Irish Legend who finished 2nd and whose price dropped significantly from its starting price.


Grimes Faith won in a race I should have left alone - apprentice claimer -aaargghhh!

Her name is Rio won which was pleasing given the place only price of 1.82.

Mallorca won 2-1 thus allowing the dutch on winning margins to come in

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Harley looked to retain plenty of ability on his Market Rasen reappearance but he's been delicate over the years and may not be guaranteed to repeat the form. Stout stayer ESQUILLON also has plenty going for her down in class and gets the vote.[EMW]

A predicted 2 horse race and Gold Medallist has the "difficult to look past" trigger words so will be my choice, again with in running trading in mind

Again, with potential heavy rain predicted for the afternoon those with discipline and patience can forego this venue incase the heavy rain deteriorates the ground

Kelso's heavy ground combined with generally long distances is a recipe for shocks and so worth leaving alone

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Ocean Pride and Tobago Reef have both looked a light of other days recently and that should pave the way for prolific Italian winner MON AMI to add another victory to an already impressive haul.[GN]

With recent memories of Kanisorn winning very very impressively on the all weather recently, Mon Ami has a similar profile, being also a multiple winner in Italy - slight price gap and worth support

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Irish raider Breaker Morant is sure to be popular after going close here last time out, not least now that Fran Berry replaces an apprentice, but with a slight doubt still over his stamina he is opposed with WATERLOO CORNER who has lost nothing in finishing behind a whole host of subsequent winners on his last two starts.[GN]

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: With Bahamian Lad looking exposed, this looks a good opportunity for TAKEN (nap) to get off the mark for all he is likely to find Kibitzer a different proposition this time round.[GN]

Interesting to see Jamie Spencer come out of hibernation for the ride on Taken - can we take the hint?

Another success yesterday and the only game of interest for me this evening is Nantes at home  - I will chance Nantes to win half time/full time at 2.32 which is good odds. I just hope they can score in the first half without reply
