It's party time!

Hi

It's party time! Not because of Cheltenham you
understand, but because it's my birthday week.

Like most birthdays in recent history, I have a
simple plan and that is to decamp into the living
room, switch on the racing channel,  have the swear
jar close at hand, and enjoy a superb 4 day spectacle
of jumps racing.

This birthday I'll be christening as my "Just for
Men" birthday as my temples are becoming a little
Lineker-esque in their appearance and I've begun
taking a second glance at the Just for Men shelf at
my local Tescos.

So look out for the Betfair Specials - will I go
Lineker and let the grey come, or will I go all Philip
Schofield and die my hair black kidding myself that
I'm still young? Place your bets now!

With Cheltenham in mind I did go to a local
hostelry and listen to some "experts" and their
opinions. I must say it was nice to meet Jim Culloty,
Best Mate's Best Mate in what was an interesting
evening out. These events are taking part all over
Ireland at present and are extremely popular. The
problem is everyone has an opinion, and they're all
different, so apart from partaking in some local
brew, I really ended the night more confused than
when I started!

No doubt the population of Ireland will dwindle
next week as half of them will be invading
Cheltenham with Euros at hand to cheer on their
own and battle the bookies.

Mathematician Betting have allowed me to
reproduce their Cheltenham specials on my website
at http://www.whatreallywinsmoney.com/, so please
do take a look in the ARTICLES section.

With such a busy list I have built up a number of
new contributors to the site, and have been unable
to upload them until I got their permission which I
now have.

A couple of readers have now begun their systems.
Did you follow Brian CC's Lay system? His free
trial has ended with the £1,000 nominal bank
standing at near £1,500 form laying and a super
staking plan. He's a reader who's profiting so if you
want a piece of what he has to offer, get in touch
and I'll forward your emails to him.

This has not been isolated profit making - he was
doing the same pre Christmas and no doubt can
replicate that into the future. A great lay service in
store from a reader and exclusive to you.

JaysLays is the last survivor of the 3 readers who
began proofing on the website and his poor start has
had a spectacular turn around and looks set to
continue - again in the Systems Blueprints section
of the website he looks worth following Jay's site is
www.horseracinglay.co.uk and I hope this turn
around can signal the beginning of an upward curve
profit wise. Another reader's system - check it out
on the website and if you like what you see, contact
Jay at his site.

Another reader has been most impressive. Paul
Waddington's service at
http://www.betting4profits.co.uk/ has really been
performing of late and I think you'll like the price!
His results are proofed at http://www.sports-
tipsters.co.uk/betting4profits.php for your
inspection. Well worth paying a visit.

SPECIAL ENDORSEMENT

I told you Don't Tell The Professionals - the
financial trading programme - was good, but just
take a look at this email from a VERY happy
student:

"I have been meaning to write to you for some time
now, as a student who purchased your DTTP course
towards the end of June last year. I carried out very
limited trading to start with (lack of funds) but
decided to take it more seriously in August and
deposited £1,000 in my trading account. I had to
augment this with a couple of temporary £1,000
loans until, before the end of 2007, all my deposits
were withdrawn and I was trading with my profits.

As of today my account stands at approximately
£65,000 and I would like to thank you very much
for the help your system has given me."

And yes, the figures are real! Full details here:

JOSHUA JACOBS BETFAIR PROFITS FORMULA

The marketing for this new product has taken on a
whole new life of itself - the usual affiliate suspects
are peddling it, along with some newbies. It really is
hard sell, but Don't Believe The Hype.

There's nothing new as regards Betfair and making
profits from the betting exchanges. I wager that I've
given you ample information myself that will be
"exclusively" covered in Josh Jacob's "Modules"

If you want to take a free peak at his writing, visit
www.laytheodds.com and click on his name under
featured writers. You will probably find some of his
strategies there.

For those that have succumbed to the saturation
marketing, let me know what you think because I am
loathe to part with $197 to be told the bleeding
obvious (from my perspective as a seasoned
campaigner!). I have read the Module titles and they
all seem to be rather obvious strategies and hardly
exclusive to Mr Jacobs.

One reader did succumb to the package and here's his
knee jerk reaction. He has allowed me to reproduce
his thoughts:

"Hi Clive: Just thought I'd save you some research. I
just bought the 'latest best thing', the Betting Profits
Formula and promptly returned it. Not only are most
of the 'systems' copied from other sources (one of
which I paid £1.99 for on e-bay) but the whole book
is full of inaccuracies (or stupidities). One section
(sorry, Module) is written by a Mr X (gives it an air
of intrigue don't you think?) who's idea is to back
every horse in a race when the book is OVER 100%
(I kid you not). His other gem is to put in lay offers at
prices higher than currently available. I'd love to meet
this guy, I've got a bridge I could sell him (only one
careful owner). This really is the worst thing I have
seen for a long time (and I've seen a few). I expect to
see young Joshua in the courts soon defending actions
for copyright infringements. Just thought I'd give you
a heads up to repay the good work you do".

That was a quick refund! Judging by the company old
Josh keeps (the old Brookes affiliate crew) I am not
surprised at the reader's reactions. I have asked for a
copy of the Betting Profits Formula from the author
himself and hope to look over it myself.

STAKING AND MONEY MANAGEMENT

It's been a very interesting week for me as I've tried
to get rid of a lot of gubbins on my PC ,because it's
slower than Teddy Sheringham at times and in the
process I've come across some oldies but goodies
staking wise.

I have an excel spreadsheet staking plan for selections
staked on with 1 point, 2 points or 3 points based on
confidence. For those who want to take a look and
play around with it let me know. Perhaps this is
something that could greatly benefit a mechanical
system such as the 3 into 1? Some races thrown up
include hunter chases, heavy ground hurdles, some of
the horses are multiple winners who seem to have
done their winning. Perhaps allocating these weaker
bets just 1 point could alleviate the impact on the
betting bank of losing bets?

I have also found spreadsheets for the famous Maria
staking plan for laying - a real laying investment plan
which I can forward to you on request (or try to
download onto the website).

With the idea of staking plans (I'm stretching this link
a tad) I have been working on your behalf dear reader
on Betfair exchange games. Well, as I write, using
just £10 (and being very bored I'll admit), I've taken
away £75 (banked!) in about 4 hours. The system
revolves around dutching hands on Texas Hold Em
and includes an element of trading. I work with a
straight £10 only and always bank when I make £5
profit - amazing how it grows!

As I've said in the past, the multiple involvement of 2
or 3 hands looks to be a prerequisite to success. I
daren't use more than £10 - that stake is comforting
for me and no great loss  - I'm just playing until I lose
the tenner and pocketing any profit above £5  - works
a treat thus far. I will reveal the system for you for the
next newsletter. It's deceptively simple and I will
christen it the Operation X Project Y Ultra Betfair
Cracking Code Storm Impact System  - has a nice
ring to it!

The possibility to make £10-£20 per hour is realistic
but I am aware that I could be out of the game in my
first hand, such is the surprise element that can creep
into Betfair exchange games.  My stint on day 1 has
ended with a blowout but a £65 net gain nicely
banked!

I'm going to try this system each day with just a
tenner and see how much I can make out of it -
should be an interesting exercise over a week.

Those of you regularly reading the blog will have
noticed how I have tried to make some break even
bets on the horses - I find this can be a good way to
have low downside and high potential returns with
relatively little risk.

Again, blog-wise, the football bets have been the real
money earners in the week before Cheltenham and all
I really do is use techniques talked about in the
newsletter.  IT looks like, this week, Liverpool are
transforming into betting propositions once more after
I have become a millionaire filling many swear jars
following them recently. Ones to watch out for if this
reliability can stick!

3 INTO 1

Sod's Law has decided to take time off!  Just ended
the week with 3 winners at 4/7, 9/4 and 7/4 -
hopefully this is a turn around to the results I am more
used to with the system.  Hope the flat season can
bring more winners after a poor start. It will be
interesting to put recent results through the staking
plans and see how they have fared. I will certainly
update for next month's newsletter.

I'll end today's eletter with extracts from a recent
BBC article entitled "Losing cash is a dead cert in
tipster scam" by Kevin Peachey.

" The office of Fair Trading (OFT) says that £1M is
being lost to current bogus tipster mailings in the UK"
(Sound familiar - the old glossy brochure brigade!

It continues: " Each scam - which lasts for around  to
5 weeks - nets the con-artist behind it around
£100,000 , and an increasing number of affluent horse
racing lovers are being caught out".

The article quotes the experiences on one man, and
this is typical of some emails I have been receiving
where people are still falling for these brochures.

The man in question paid £3,000 for a series of tips,
but over the next couple of months, only one of nice
tips won, and at 8/13!

He tried to enforce the money back guarantee only
was unable to reach the tipster.

The man above also receives a whole raft of other
offers including requests to place bets on somebody
else's behalf or offers to become part of a horse
owning syndicate, which proves to be completely
false (a couple of readers fell for John McCracken's
scam).

Interestingly "in one case, a con-artist claimed to have
30 years of experience in the sport, despite being aged
just 29" and no he was not Marty McFly and didn't
own a Delorean!

The OFT quote a figure of 3.2 million people falling
for scams every year. Surely this is a lesson in this
unregulated industry to be extra vigilant isn't it!

A timely reminder regarding these glossy brochure
boys - there's a whole rogues gallery of names - I'm
sure, or at least I hope, you will reacquaint yourself
with the article I did on the tell tale signs to look for
in these brochures.

I will do my part in trying to find reputable real world
people who offer a genuine service and have a track
record and a proper address!

After all this talk of scams, I need to cheer myself up
now, so I'll have a prolonged look at my Kelly Brook
2008 calendar and dream of JP McManus sized win at
Cheltenham next month.

Have a great weekend

Clive
