How to profit from the winning gapHi
Having heard some good feedback regarding The
Winning Gap system I have tried to get some info
from the readers who bought the system (which has
been sold out) and from my questioning The Winning
Gap is similar to my price gapper idea where we look
for a short priced favourite in The Betting Forecast of
The Racing Post which has a significant and
noticeable gap between it and the 2nd favourite.
Here's an example:
625 BATH
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Rioliina, 4/1 Via Mia,
5/1 Wake Me Now, 11/2 Bold Ring, 8/1 Phoenix
Enforcer, 20/1 Erris Lady, Spinning Bailiwick,
Yanza.
Can you see the difference between the 6/4 and 4/1 is
noticeable? Now, knowing James Buswell's previous
work (you now know why Carol Vorderman retired
from Countdown - she had to spend all her spare time
trying to suss out his previous systems!) there will be
obvious complications to accompany these winning
gaps as he calls them (or price gaps as I have
christened them)
The value of the blog is that I can keep a diary of
qualifiers and their results. I have simply listed the
most obvious price gaps without going into any
further analysis (and there is much more that can be
done such as checking RPR, is the horse the postdata
selection, race type, distance, jockey/trainer
performance etc etc).
Here are the results for the last 2 days:
Starry Sky 1st 8/11
Once a Gulch 1st 9/2
Vilna 2nd 10/11
Holiday Cocktail 1st 4/1
Olympic Dream 2nd 7/2
Thumbs up 2nd 7/4
Asker Tua 1st 4/11
Riolina 1st 3/1
Like for like 1st 6/5
Casual Garcia 1st 5/6
Galpin Junoir 1st 8/15
Tilsworth Charlie 5th 5/2
Le Toreador 4th 9/4
On our way 1st 2/1
Certain Promise 1st 4/6
Impressive stuff eh! If you have your Racing Post's then
check the races where these horses appeared and you'll see
the price gaps OR visit the blog at http://www.back-lay-trade-horses-football.blogspot.com/ or at
Some of the price gappers (such as Once a Gulch)
drifted considerably. Now I don't know if this is just
coincidence that I have started on 2 days where
performance has been good, but I like the strike rate
and prices of some of the qualifiers.
I know The Winning Gap buyers had to sign a non-
disclosure agreement hence my questioning and the
dusting off of my Columbo raincoat!
JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS
Some more readers have got back to me with their
recommendations for footy systems in the new season
ahead and I'll be including them in the next
newsletter which will be largely football oriented.
There have been some interesting friendlies and most
noticeably Liverpool have been scoring freely.
From the early news, Blackburn Rovers look to be in
a bit of a mess under Paul Ince and I worry for them
in this new season. It would seem the Guvnor is a
little out of his depth (I wait to be proven wrong) with
dissention in the ranks and signing of Robbie Fowler
(he also tried to get the signature of a promising
Brazilian called Pele and a good footballer called
Charles "Charlie" Charles who he saw on the Harry
Enfield show). The excellent Brad Friedel is gone and
I will be looking to oppose Blackburn this season.
Up north, Rangers have fecked up their season
already having been dumped out of the champions
League. What impact on their season?
So many questions, so little time!

How has The Trading Secret Plan performed this
week?
Trading Plan Results for Friday August 1st to
Thursday August 7th.
Won 5-1 3rd 6-1
Won 7-2 2nd 7-2
Won 9-2 3rd 8-1
Won 8-1 3rd 8-1
Won 4-1 2nd 4-1
Won 3-1 3rd 8-1
7 losers.
It must be noted that these don't include multiple
qualifiers in races, neither do they include horses
which at first appear as qualifiers but have drifted in
the live market.
Latest results can be seen at: www.thetradingplan.co.uk.
Handicaps, indeed, may not be the head scratchers
that they appear to be at first glance. Open to trainer
manipulation more than any other races, we just need
to crack the code - what to look for - winning marks
- horses who have recently been run over inadequate
distances (deliberately?) to ensure less than optimum
performance and hence a drop in the weights to a
winnable mark.
I'm trying to collate as much handicap information as
I can and it has certainly opened my eyes.
OLYMPICS
I have my eye on a number of markets in the
Olympics and the swimming interests me greatly with
a couple of outstanding swimmers to follow. One
should get 6 or 7 golds and I will be backing him in
an accumulator (I think the guy is A Piersol) Then
again, I'm no swimming expert (although I could do
some really good dive bombs in my youth - the
splash was world class!)
Have a look through the markets. Sports such as
Badminton and Table tennis will be dominated by the
Asians. Long distance runs by the Africans, and
men's sprints most probably by the Jamaicans.
Overall there are plenty of opportunities and I would
venture that the price markets will be a true reflection
of ability.
USA and China look to dominate the markets for the
medals in all categories (Gold, Silver, Bronze) and
are dutchable. Loads of markets available and I just
hope RTE have good coverage.
FOOTY AND MAD MAN'S HOCKEY
It's a big weekend here in Ireland with the Gaelic and
Hurling (mad man's hockey!) On the football front,
I'll be chancing Kerry and Cork double (or backing
Kerry at 1.43 and transferring profits to Cork at 1.29)
The Hurling sees the dominant Kilkenny talking on
Cork who were mighty impressive the other week (I
had to support them as I was staying at my Aunties in
Cork!) -1.45 signifies Kilkenny's dominance and
they could be layable from a trading perspective on
Sunday as the price may rise if Cork can reproduce
their recent form.
I don't know much about the above 2 sports so may
have to ask my little niece in Guernsey who's actually
taken up Gaelic Football! She'll probably say,
"Do a Cork/Kerry double, you bumbumhead"
So will the price gappers continue to perform as a
blanket backing system this weekend? I hope so as I
could have stumbled across an interesting backing
system. Have a great weekend - I'll be phoning those
Sky chaps to get my Football fix for next week
(although I might have a date with the Cork lady -
fingers crossed its not next weekend, I'll be gutted -
will she notice the portable TV surreptitiously
positioned just behind her in the restaurant with
Match of the Day on?)
Have a great weekend
