Get ready, it's all about to 'kick off'...

Hi,

Tomorrow it all kicks off. The streets will be deserted as
everyone huddles around the TV...

Yes it's X Factor auditions again!

No I'm talking about the Premiership kick off of course.
With Arsenal to start the proceedings at 12.45.

In the coming newsletter I'll be reviewing all the available
footy systems for you to pour over. You won't want to
miss it. It's an ambitious plan as I aim to then follow and
track them all via my dedicated soccer blog at

Incidentally if you haven't already signed up. You can still
do so here:

Some of the systems for review will require 6 games
worth of form to utilise. But I'll be kicking off the blog
tomorrow - as a place for ideas, a little bit of lateral
thinking and as I said, tracking.

There are so many different ways to attack the coming
footy season. The key, in my opinion, is to find a niche
and become an expert in that niche. Mick at
www.football-bets.co.uk has kindly allowed me to share
some free advice via articles he has written and these will
also be available in the coming newsletter.

Here's a sneak peek...

There are 'permutations' - Highlander will give you an
introduction to this.

There's 'Trading' - including examples of different trades,
as well as a review of the variety of trading systems.
(The most popular would seem to be 'Lay the Draw' or
derivatives of it and 'Accumulator Bets'). I'll be asking
whether we can really profit season long from the short
odds on shots that prevail through a week's long list fixed
odds coupon?

There will also be special spreadsheets to help
calculations and much much more.

From my perspective I'll be using my patented enhanced
bets when redhot favourites underperform in running
matches. And we can back them at (yes you guessed it)
enhanced odds.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the new season
unfolds.

IRISH FOOTY

Well last week the Cork /Kerry double came in well so I
didn't mind being called a 'bumbumhead' by my Gaelic
games playing niece.

This weekend the standout bet looks to be Dublin playing
at Croke Park (at HOME!) - these are ultra short odds
but we will get better if we look at the handicap market -
giving away 2.5 points at 1.75 or the straight win at 1.46
- the latter probably safer.

Elsewhere with the mad man's hockey (hurling) Kilkenny
look a standout bet for the All Ireland and worth backing,
albeit now at short odds

Looking at the outright winner market for the Sam
Maguire cup, Kerry can be backed at 2.18 with Dublin at
3.35.

We have a possible trade here surely? If Dublin win
tomorrow their odds will obviously reduce from 3.35 for
the outright market you'd think.

At any rate, we can back Kerry and Dublin on Betfair and
create a break even bet on Dublin, loading profit on Kerry
(this of course assumes a lot as we are in the quarter
final stage)

PRICE GAPPERS

A real collapse yesterday thanks to soft and heavy
ground. This wholehearted backing of price gappers
without analysis looks doomed to failure. We must
account for race types and more importantly, soft and
heavy ground which, when mixed with maidens, is recipe
for failure.

I did have an idea with perceived strong price gappers to
look for a place only bet and a target profit per day. Strike
rate is high BUT prices are low. Of course I am thinking
out loud here.

Also, we need to account for market movers. One horse
yesterday in a price gapper race was 33/1 in the betting
forecast and opened up 5/2 JOINT FAV and came 2nd,
placed. Surely with this knowledge, a horse like that is a
better place only prospect than the fav (desert hawk)

I'll keep going with the blog and will most certainly avoid
soft and heavy ground.

Check out this very interesting site set up by a reader:

There's a cool £20K up for grabs. You bet "virtual" cash
on footy matches and the person with the biggest betting
bank at season end wins a luverly jubberly £20K.

NICE! I've already enrolled so if no one else joins I'll be a
brazilionaire!(ish)

Well I'm off now to "virtually" finish the next newsletter
and then "virtually" do my proverbials as shock Day 1
premiership scores flood in to the vidiprinter!

Have a great weekend

Clive
