Hmmm, BETTY...
Hi,
And so, at the end of another month, I see my place only betting bank increase some more, but the month turned sour thanks to Jamie "Frank" Spencer's inability to get Thomas Baines placed yesterday at Yarmouth. I could hear him yesterday telling his wife " Hmm, Betty, the horse trod on a rollerskate at the start, and then I lost my beret, Betty, and had to find that, and by the time I did, Betty, the race was over " Such is life. But a £2,476 profit to £100 daily stakes is reduced to £2,376 instead (since November 2008), and Frank Spencer ended a 40 long winning run for these one a day selections so hopefully May will welcome in some more profits and another lengthy winning run. The blog's there to help you, BUT the hope is you can do this yourself as some readers are doing. Sometimes their choices differ from mine. After all, I am not the Messiah, (just a very naughty boy!) and can sometimes call it wrong when there are better opportunities elsewhere. BUT marry a one a day philosophy with the correct selections, either with backing, laying, or football, and it is a proven money maker Incidentally, for those who like enhanced betting, how about 1/100 shot Kopenhagen (mentioned on the blog) trading at 1.3 after going a goal down. I mean, how many times are you ever going to get to back a 1/100 shot at near enough 1/3! Watch out for these enhanced bets on football - the value is extraordinary. *************** Publisher Recommends **************** Lazy computer novice reveals how your PC could spew out money - like an ATM machine! "I 'stole' this secret cash generator formula from ?an American multi-millionaire in March 2006...??Now cheques for £1,500 - £3,000 drop through ?my door every month."? I guarantee that ANYONE can do this from home. It takes just a few hours a week at the computer. No technical stuff or gobbledegook...?? Well has the Protege System been hit by the curse of Sportsworld Publishing? There seems to be a number of fundamental flaws with this horse racing backing system from Tony Gibson. Firstly, we are asked to back to 1 point stakes, but this system has a tendency to actually produce multiple selections in a single race. So, if we take the 245 Ascot on the 29th April, hooray! We got a winner at 11/2, BUT we also had to back a total of 5 horses is that race. This left us with a marginal profit rather than an expected 11/2 return The first race of my trial produced a 4/6 winner BUT we had to back 2 horses in that race , so a loss in real terms! Secondly, there have been some huge priced placed horses with this system, in the 3 days since my trial began, 2nd at 22/1, 2nd at 33/1 and 2nd at 14/1. Now with the staking set at 1 point win per horse, these selections are producing a ZERO return. Surely it would be prudent when backing such big prices to turn that one point win stake into 1/2 point each way? A 33/1 shot can return up to 4/1 for the place part of the bet! So at this early stage, the Protege System is not delivering sufficient winners to negate the many losers (which is a natural occurrence, of course with backing multiple selections in a single race) It's reliance, I feel, will be on converting one of those 22/1 or 33/1 shots that come 2nd into a winner. So, at this early stage, not really a system I'd be happy with at all. Moodymares - A Case For Moody Miss Marple No, not an information product on how to cope with the fairer sex after their place only selections come 3rd in a 7 horse race, but the new offering from the Winners To Losers crew, (see www.moodymares.info) and already I hope these words will be echoing in your minds "Beware mass marketed lay systems" As was seen with Winners To Losers (which incidentally continues to disappoint) lay prices drift above their natural threshold thanks to sheer weight of numbers laying the same system horse. This eventually leads to fixed liability lay staking becoming largely redundant and a system's "claimed" profits severely curtailed. And so the cycle may begin again with Moody Mares. Numbers are, apparently, restricted, SO WHY OFFER AN AFFILIATE LINK AT THE WEBSITE THEN? I doubt numbers will be restricted. Indeed, the affiliate brigade are sharpening their claws in anticipation of an email inbox invasion in the very near future. What can I ascertain from this system? Well the title, and the presence of female names in the results, leads me to think that this is a lay system which focuses solely on mares and fillies. This has already been covered with Fancy Fillies and I would guess that Fancy Fillies is the originator of the idea for this lay system. So, take a look at the freely available results and see if you can ascertain whether the selected fillies /mares come in: - the first race of the day? - the first race at the venue for the day? - Or are we focussing on fillies and mares in specific race types such as handicaps? - are we focussing on fillies or mares on the flat ,or in the jumps ,or both? - are we looking for mares and fillies who are a specific price in the betting forecast? - or specific venues ( the all weather?) And so on? Get the old Miss Marple hat on and try and suss this out yourself. The claims in this website really get me too. £1.3 million? Sounds like a load of utter Bertie Ollocks I'm afraid. This looks very much like a backfitted system since 2000, formulated using specialist websites and software. I'm pretty certain that NOONE, but noone has made £1.3 million from this system. THEORETICALLY THEY COULD HAVE YES, and theoretically I made £200K place only betting since November 2008 using £10,000 stakes! Be very careful indeed - again using my Miss Marple powers of deduction, I suspect these profit claims have been calculated under a "best case " scenario - perhaps £100 level stakes? If so, you already know that laying up to double figure odds horses with £100 level stakes is not really advisable or realistic. So, learn from the past, and wait for the feedback on this system to surface. The frenzy they'll whip up will make you want to purchase early, but I would say "Hold on!" and wait and see initial reactions on forums etc. 2 main systems in focus this week, and here's wishing you a great Bank Holiday weekend. I'm off now to find Frankie Spencer's beret - it's near the starting stalls at Yarmouth I think, and if I don't, Betty is sure to be a moody mare! Regards Clive Keeling |
