Le Main de Dieu!

Hi,

Oh what a painful week it’s been for my Irish neighbours! No it’s not because Jedward returned to Ireland for a couple of days, it is, of course, “le main de Dieu” – the hand of Henry!!

What a way for the Irish team to miss out on the World Cup next year. But there is a business opportunity here I think – toilet roll with Thierry Henry’s face on it will be a Christmas best seller on this side of the Irish Sea!

While all of this was happening, yours truly was supping my Guinness, whilst listening for the pings at futbol24. Lo and Behold – another enhanced football bet! Austria unexpectedly took the lead against a strong Spanish side. You know the rest by now surely? Yes Spain equalized and eventually went on to win. YET ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ENHANCED BET! No wonder I keep harping on about it!

It’s also been newsletter writing time, and there’s a couple of systems that are too late for the newsletter but deserve a quick mention here.

The first is called the Profit Rocket. Here’s my knee jerk reaction on this one.

My knee jerk reaction is I think the release of this system was something of a knee jerk reaction by Sports World Publishing. This lay system was released on the back of a successful month, having won the tipping contest at their sister publication the Racing Investors Club. This month does not account for performance during the Jumps season.

As to the system , well some days there have been 40+ lay bets placed. From a practical perspective, this is a big negative surely? This is a tipping service, so you place the bets on receipt of them. As with all lay tipsters, the concern, as ever, if with a lot of people laying the same horse and inflating the true price in doing so.

So these are 2 aspects that have to be taken into account if the profit rocket appeals. I will be trialling it and reporting back in due course. If it makes cash despite these 2 small niggles, then that’s what we’re after!

Another lay tipster is laythebest and one look at the results at the website shows you these guys seem to know their stuff. Highly consistent and nice low prices. But, as ever, with lay tipping, the more popular a service will get, the higher the lay prices will be as that concentration by many on the one event comes to fruition. There is also a question mark regarding liquidity in some of the markets. The NFL, AFL, and NHL are chosen regularly, and as American sports, there may not be enough liquidity to cater for a large number of subscribers. This is another tipster I want to follow because there is no question that they make some very good choices. I want to find out whether we can get reasonable stakes on. Their profit is quoted to £100 stakes, and this may not be manageable in some markets.

Still, one of the better lay tipsters on the market, and I look forward to updating you on this service.

Footy Blog Returns

After the international break, domestic and European league football returns with a vengeance and I’ll be updating the blog at soccerbettingmoneymaker . I’ll try this weekend with some correct score permutations and do a bit of experimenting. Correct scores offer some juicy odds and, as you’ll read in the next newsletter, there are some great opportunities of nabbing a nice double or treble with some very worthwhile returns.

The key is in not just selecting 3 separate correct scores in 3 separate matches, rather in perming 3 scores in one match, 3 scores in a 2nd match and so on.

Laying In Jumps Racing

I’m still trying to formulate a decent enough jumps laying system to share with you. Why? Well, there’s obstacles! That’s the key. Then there’s the weather (and I’m the expert living in Ireland!) For me, the bigger the obstacle, the better chance of a fall or a falter! So stopping point one – how about chase fences? Second obstacle? Heavy ground perhaps? Should make things a level playing field? Third obstacle? Distance? The longer the distance the greater chance of a fall!!

That’s the idea anyway. With this being the last newsletter of the year, there’s plenty of time to look through results and qualifying chases and see if I can find a pattern. Will keep you informed.

Yes, November is the final newsletter, and I’ll be heading back on Uncle Duty in Guernsey in December. This will be a great time, I hope, to bring back the live chat facility I had on the horse racing blog, which I think proved beyond doubt that if you can read the betting markets, there’s some really juicy odds winners in pretty much all races! You’ll be the first to know when I get this facility up again. It proved very popular before. I cannot do it in Ireland because the broadband connectivity is not the most reliable!

I’m off now to take my Thierry Henry’s face on toilet roll idea to the Irish Dragon’s Den. Wish me luck

Have a great weekend,

Clive Keeling
