The enhanced bets have started already - get on!
Hi,
I was recently down the pub with my close show biz pals The Pointer Sisters (it can be quite embarrassing as they tend to point at people quite a lot) and we were discussing the new football season. They asked me how I feel about impending top flight football again and I proclaimed "I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. Oh, and watch out for enhanced trading opportunities as well" Yes, there have already been ample enhanced trading opportunities in Europa League, Champions League, and of course the World Cup. Let me take you through a few enhanced bets yesterday. 645pm - Aris Thes. v Jagiellonia - 1.45 price for the home team Aris went 2-1 down in the 66th minute. They drew 2-2 by the 74th minute. How would the Pointer Sisters have played this one? Well, at 2-1 down, you could have either backed Aris at odds far greater than the 1.45 pre match and traded the price drop as they equalized, or you could have laid Jagiellonia once they were 2-1 up, and covered the draw. With this latter bet, you could have let the bet run , or traded out once the equalizer arrived as Jagiellonia's odds would increase dramatically. 7pm - Genk v FC Inter - 1.31 price for the home team Genk actually scored first so there were no immediate enhanced trading opportunities but FC Inter equalized in the 35th minute. Bear in mind there were 55 minutes remaining of this match, Genk were hot favourites and playing at home, and you could have backed them at better odds at 1-1 or laid FC Inter and opted to trade out once Genk went in front again - which they did in the 80th minute - that's quite a wait!! ************************* Publisher Recommends ********************* Finally a PROVEN betting service that's delivered low-risk profits every year for the last 3 years. £3,669 in the next 6 months... £11,477 by this time next year... £20,000+ every year after For full details and to find out how you can claim a 3 month risk-free trial click here. ****************************************************************** And therein lay another enhanced betting opportunity. Let's say you had noted Genk's price before the match was due off. You were aware they should win easily. Now, as you check the scores, you note, in the 70th minute, that it is still 1-1. What do you do? Well the odds for Genk will be far far greater than the 1.31 pre match so you could risk backing them in the hope that 20 minutes will see them score a goal to take them into the lead. Or you could lay the draw and hope either team scores a winner. As you can see in this example, there are so many different ways to sniff out an enhanced bet. 730pm - Bangor City v Maritimo - 1.39 price for the away team Let us put this Europa tie into context here. Bangor were mauled 8-2 in the first leg. What does this tell us? Well, there is quite obviously a huge gulf in class so the expectation is that Maritimo could win this tie easily if they so desired (I did question motivation here for the away side with such a lead). Hang on a sec Boyos! Bangor takes the lead in the 9th minute! Now if you had kept faith in your analysis that Maritimo are by far the better side, then now would be a good time to 1) back Maritimo at odds far greater than their pre match odds of 1.39 and trade after they equalize or 2) lay Bangor City at lower odds than you could have laid them pre match. Maritimo equalized in the 48th minute and went on to win 2-1. Again, if you happened to be passing by a football scores website and noted at half time that Maritimo were losing, you could have taken action during the interval. 730pm - Stuttgart v Molde - 1.22 price for the home team The Pointer Sisters were very excited about this one. Molde went 1-0 up at half time. You could have backed Stuttgart or laid Molde then in the hope 1.22 shots Stuttgart would equalize. BUT Molde score a 2nd . Now the Pointer Sisters pointed out pointedly that this enhanced bet was going pear shaped. I would have backed Stuttgart again, or laid Molde again and hoped, as the 2nd goal was only scored in the 49th minute, that 1.22 shots Stuttgart could score at least the next goal to open the window to allow for trading. And so they did in the 54th minute. Now there were 36 minutes remaining for them to score a 2nd. Did they? Well, yes, in the 90th minute. A messy enhanced trade but backing Stuttgart twice (or laying Molde twice at varying odds) would have allowed for a salvage job at 2-1. Those with steel plated underpants could have held on and hoped for another Stuttgart goal (to put this into context, they were 3-2 up from the first leg so ideally would have wanted to equalize at the very least). 745pm - Juventus v Shamrock Rovers - 1.12 price for the home team Now this is a good old fashioned back and hope enhanced bet. The clock ticks. It's 0-0 at half time. The 1.12 pre match odds have increased dramatically. Get on Juventus or hold on for better odds? That is a decision you must make in the moment. I admit I was staring at the 1.76 odds for Juventus at around the 70th minute mark thinking I should be backing a 1.12 shot at these odds, when the inevitable goal was scored. The Pointer sisters did their best to console me. This is one of those enhanced trades where you have to have faith in the pre match odds signaling at least a win. And have in mind either a price at which you would back that side, or a predetermined time at which you will back at bigger odds. The 2 watchwords here are planning and flexibility! All of the above matches I personally already marked out via a blog I do daily -like a diary where I note the prices, note my research, and importantly note whether the match is in running or not. If the match is in running, then I will be selecting said match at futbol24 www.futbol24.com Then I have the flexibility to wait for an erroneous goal. I monitor occasionally and just hope that I stumble upon an out of place scoreline (Juventus at home to Shamrock Rovers drawing 0-0 in the 70th minute is certainly erroneous). I then get involved if I feel the side who are losing or drawing are a side that I had actually flagged up previously as being most likely to win. Try this yourself this new footy season. Blogger www.blogger.com or other free blog sites can allow you to copy and paste football games . Then use Betdevil www.betdevil.com, Leagueday www.leagueday.com and the compare teams facility at futbol24 www.futbol24.com in which to do your analysis. I tend to list teams 1.5 in odds (1/2) or lower and preferably playing at home. The game must be in running. I would then put up futbol24 www.futbol24.com with the games of interest chosen, and also have to hand at Betfair www.betfair.com the in play coupon for that day (or on a Saturday and Sunday for a particular time period). I can then do other things and just wait for an out of place goal, a shock lead, a draw after 70 minutes when a team should be winning easily. Then I get involved, and wait for an equalizer or winning goal. Do have in mind your staking as a proportion of your betting bank. There may be instances such as the Stuttgart match which are not "clean" enhanced trades. Remember bet in the expectation of losing and you will manage your risk effectively. So watch out when West Brom are leading 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and get on!! Mark your diary for the 14th August. The night before, or on the morning, go to Betfair www.betfair.com and list on your new blog from Blogger www.blogger.com, those short priced football matches from the in play coupon you deem where it would be a shock were red hot favs not to win. Ensure you have done your research as the better the research the better the betting decisions. Get up futbol24 www.futbol24.com and wait for erroneous scorelines. This is only one strategy you can use during this football season. I urge you to read the eletter sent a couple of weeks back which outlined many strong strategies (a lot of them uniquely mine) which will produce the goods this new football season. I am so excited, as I told the Pointer Sisters, because I learn more with each successive football season and so must you. I will try to get you details of any live chat facility we may be offering during this new football season, in time for the big Premiership kick off so watch this space. In the meantime, get yourself prepared. I'm off now for a post beer curry with the Pointer Sisters. Have a great weekend. Clive |
