Curley's off spending his tax free dough!
Hi,
Hooray, my recent stint as uncle to a 10 year old, two 8 year olds and a 4 year old has come to an end for the time being. My bank account breathes a huge sigh of relief as there are no more fair rides to pay for, nor ice creams, games of crazy golf, and the rest. I am free at last! (well for 3 months). On my way back to, ahem, sunny Ireland, guess who I bumped into at the airport? Yes, none other than one Barney Curley. I must have been the only person to recognise him. To remind you, let me take you back to the of 10th May this year: "Four horses, three trained by Curley, were combined in a string of multiples at big odds, and when three of them won many well-known firms were left facing massive payouts as the carefully orchestrated gamble cost the betting industry more than £1 million." Well, what else could I do but drop to my knees in Wayne's World Style and repeat the words "We're not worthy, we're not worthy" Well, I didn't go that far to be honest. I did say hello to the Great One who had obviously decided to spend his (or rather the bookies) money on a nice break abroad. ********************** Publisher Recommends ********************* "It really is like magic! Just go to a simple website, tap in a couple of words and BANG you've uncovered another £37... £60... or £159 profit!" Find out how to use this quirky little "free money" generator risk-free for the next 30 days. Read on for full details ****************************************************************** I remember this betting coup well, as all of the horses involved were identified using the 16/1 system of mine, which highlights potential stable gambles. Are you familiar with the 16/1 system? If not, give me a shout and I'll fill you in. It's a nice little technique for uncovering potential stable gambles that the bookies would rather you know nothing about (quite obviously!) ----------------------- QUICKER THAN USAIN BOLT ----------------------- I'd just finished discussing each way betting in a recent eletter when What Really Wins Money contributor (and all round Brain Box) the StatMan completed his statistical analysis of the best horse races in which to employ each way betting. I read the article which will be featured in September's Newsletter, and it's a cracker. And don't worry, while the StatMan has done all of the statistical work, he has left you with a nice, simple, easy to follow betting system. Andrew David from OPM also throws his hat into the ring to further persuade you that each way betting deserves your consideration - remember if it's a bet the bookies hate, then that is a hint in itself!! -------------------------------------------------------- LIECHTENSTEIN - WE GAVE YOUR BOYS ONE HELL OF A BEATING. -------------------------------------------------------- So said many a Scot on Tuesday 7th September as Scotland hosted the might of Liechtenstein in a Euro Qualifier. Why do I mention this bet? Not to gloat. No! But to make you aware that this was one of those games that could have netted you a huge return. In my What Really Wins Money article on football recently, I mentioned this type of football match which turns up infrequently but has the chance of changing your betting bank considerably. Let me look in detail at this match. Here are the important factors in this match that I took note of. 1) Scotland, playing at home, were 1.11 to win this match and were expected to do so with ease. 2) This is a must win for Scotland - quite simply if they don't win, they might as well kiss goodbye to the Euros. 3) Scotland are playing a team who have lost 10 and drawn 2 of their last 12 away matches. In 8 of those away matches they did not score. Now, I am afraid to say that Scotland are no great shakes themselves, as those doing their research would have noted. Scotland only scored once in their last 8 internationals. Still, a home win is expected against an opposition comprising the usual brickie, carpenter, post man et al. 0-0 Half time 51st minute. The mighty Liechtenstein score first. There is, most certainly, juice loose aboot the hoose at this scoreline! A team who score rarely have taken the lead away to Scotland! First things first. I have been harping on about enhanced trading for who knows how long. Well I hope you got involved. I did! Football > Scotland v Liechtenstein : Match Odds Showing 1 - 2 of 2 Selections Selection Odds Stake(£) Bid type Placed Profit/loss(£) Scotland 2.53 200.00 Back 07-Sep-10 21:17 306.12 Scotland 1.58 320.33 Lay 07-Sep-10 21:22 -185.80 *Average odds: On Back subtotal: 306.12 Lay subtotal: -185.80 Market subtotal: 120.32 Commission @ 4.7%: 5.66 Net Market Total: 114.66 Back Scotland 1-0 down at odds of 2.53 - this for a team 1.11 pre match. Kenny Miller restores parity in the 62nd minute. Scotland's odds reduce to 1.58 for me to lay off and guarantee a profit regardless of the outcome. Now nothing! Where is the Scotland 2nd goal? Hello? Has anyone seen a Scottish 2nd goal anywhere? Remember this is a must win. Let me fast forward you to the 97th minute. Yes, timing sponsored by Sir Alex Ferguson. Up pops McManus to spare the blushes of a nation. And it is here that you could have cleaned up. Let me remind you this is a must win for Scotland. Nothing else will do. Simple as that. Here's what you could have done in the 95th minute. Back Scotland at odds of 25/1 or bigger or lay the draw at odds sub 1.10 for a huge upside and de minimus downside. These games come along very rarely. I think Chelsea featured in one last year when they just had to win - no questions asked - and did win in the 90th odd minute. The best I have done with this strategy has been to back 1.25 Celtic at odds of 15/1 on Betfair and they scored a winner in the 90+ minute. So, keep your wits about you. The last match like this featured Estonia who were 1-0 down to the Faroe Islands at home, and won 2-1 with 2 90 minute goals. Your stakes can be small, but payout huge if you keep the faith So watch out when Barca are losing 1-0 to Hercules this weekend and there's 2 minutes to go!! I hope you found the correct scores eletter last week of use. Do take the time to try it out this weekend. You might pleasantly surprise yourself with your Mystic Meg abilities. Have a great weekend from a semi retired Uncle (well until Christmas at least) Clive |
